The "Cvetni trg" (Floral square) was known as "Cvetna pijaca" (Floral market) as of 1843 and occupied the area between the streets Kralja Milana, Njegoseva and Svetozara Markovica. In 1864 it was moved to the location of today's Manjez park and in 1884 the planned construction began in the location where it is today.
