The first tram in Belgrade, then pulled by horses, began trafficking on the 14th of October 1892. It went from Kalemegdan to Slavija. Before Belgrade, only New York, Paris, London and Berlin had tramways. The electrical line which travelled to Topcider was introduced in 1894.
