In the location of today's Home of National Assembly in Belgrade during the Turkish reign existed the Batal Mosque. It was believed to be constructed around 1585 by the official in charge of Belgrade Ejnehan-beg. After the Turks arrived in 1867 the former Batal Mosque was torn down in 1878. The demolition was performed by "Cincari" for 230 gold coins paid by Pandjalo cafe owner.
