Today's Congregation church in Belgrade was built on another church's foundations, the tembple of St. Arhistratig which is mentioned during the Austrian reign of Belgrade between 1717 and 1739. The old church was built out of stones, withe a large dome without a cross. Though spaceous, it couldn't house the numerous Christian populace from Belgrade.
