"Topcider" in Turkish means "cannon valley". This is the place where the Turks began to cast cannons for attacking the fortified Belgrade in 1521. Prince Milos Obrenovic started arranging Topcider in 1931 by constructing the palace, church, tavern and park. This was the first park in Belgrade.
