Lorenzo&Kakalamba is a restaurant offering Italian and Serbian cuisine, often described as the most original and unusual restaurant in Belgrade. The restaurant's impressive ambiance has become a kind of tourist attraction, as evidenced by the large number of foreign guests who visit it daily.
In addition to the interesting atmosphere, Lorenzo&Kakalamba stands out for its cuisine, which is based on traditional dishes typical of the Tuscany region and the southern Serbian region of Pirot. Most of the ingredients used in preparing the dishes come from the original areas, i.e., Tuscany and Pirot, specifically from the pastures of Stara Planina.
Foreign visitors to the restaurant are always intrigued by the local cuisine, especially dishes like roasted goat, lamb baked under a sac in a wood-fired oven using a traditional method, grape leaf sarma, šušpe, peglana sausage, and homemade ajvar.
As for Italian cuisine, it is important to note that all the pasta is handmade from Italian flour, following traditional recipes. As recognition of this, the Italian Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Tourism, awarded our restaurant the prestigious Marchio Ospitalità Italiana – ristoranti Italiani nel Mondo certificate in 2012. The professionalism of Lorenzo&Kakalamba was also recognized by the Serbian Tourist Organization in 2012, awarding it the Tourism Flower award.
Besides traditional dishes, the restaurant's menu also features modern dishes from world cuisine, with the main characteristic of all dishes being fresh ingredients and excellent preparation by top chefs.
In the Lorenzo&Kakalamba restaurant, authentic Italian pizza is made using the finest Italian flour in a traditional wood-fired pizza oven. Lorenzo's focaccia is already famous and easily recognizable.
The restaurant's garden has a retractable roof, allowing guests to enjoy the spring days, and during the hot summer months, the most modern air conditioning systems ensure a pleasant experience under the open sky.
A unique performance called "living picture," where a live model is framed as part of a tableau, takes place in a special area of the restaurant.
On a large world map displayed on one of the restaurant's walls, visitors can mark the places they've traveled from.
