NEW RESTAURANT IN BETON HALL – CAFE LAVASH!

Merak Cuisine – A New Definition of Pleasure

Belgrade is already accustomed to top-notch restaurants in Beton Hall. Last night, a new restaurant, "Cafe Lavash," opened on the banks of the Sava River, offering a unique experience that transported everyone present to new dimensions of hedonism – right to what we call merak. In an ambiance where Belgrade’s charm meets the spirit of the Middle East, lovers of cozy havens are sure to enjoy. The innovative interior of "Cafe Lavash," which sophisticatedly combines the spirit of tradition with modern aesthetics, is designed by the renowned Istanbul design studio "Autoban," one of Europe’s most awarded design studios.

The restaurant's menu will provide your senses with a sensational blend of Balkan, Middle Eastern, and Indian flavors interpreted in a new way, altering your perception and view of food.

“We opened the restaurant with the desire to offer a modern way to enjoy Balkan tradition. A place where you can experience traditional sounds and enjoy our familiar dishes, as well as dishes from Turkey and the Middle East, but prepared in a modern way,” said Biljana Frlog, the marketing and PR manager of "Cafe Lavash," adding: “The word ‘Lavash’ is of Armenian origin and has long been used in Asia and the Middle East to describe a thin flatbread made from wheat flour. Each country has added something unique to the recipe, and it is often a tourist attraction in many destinations, with women traditionally dressed, preparing lavash on huge trays in front of tourists.”

The menu also features unconventional dishes, such as Mevale – minced lamb and beef with Pirot cheese, Kibbeh Nayyeh – Lebanese tartar of beef fillet, bulgur wheat, fresh mint, hot peppers, red onions, and truffle oil. The hedonistic challenge is completed with various types of ćevapi from our region and familiar dishes.

The restaurant boasts a wide selection of beer labels that can satisfy even the most discerning beer lovers. All your favorite and recognizable beer brands are available, as well as a long list of craft beers that will captivate you with new aromas and flavors.

The fusion of simple things like good food and music has created an authentic atmosphere of the Balkans and the Orient that this place exudes. The journey to the East is complemented by the sounds of World music, a unique mix of traditional and contemporary musical expression, music infused with roots from around the world and belonging to all of us, influenced by jazz, pop, and classical music of the 20th century.
