SILHOUETTE
Founded in 1964, SILHOUETTE is renowned for its comfort and lightness. A Silhouette frame weighs an average of 1.8 grams without lenses, lighter than a ping pong ball. Due to these features, SILHOUETTE has a contract with NASA, which has used Silhouette frames in over 30 space missions.
Silhouette products are handcrafted in Austria from Japanese royal titanium, free of screws and nuts. Each product goes through the hands of skilled workers 240 times during the manufacturing process, ensuring attention to every detail. The creation of each new Silhouette frame takes 18 months from concept to finished product.
Silhouette is the global leader in rimless prescription frames, with 6,000 pairs sold daily in 110 countries.
LUXOTTICA
Founded in 1961 by Leonardo Del Vecchio, Luxottica began as a small workshop. By the late 1960s, Luxottica produced metal components and semi-finished products for the optical industry. In 1971, Luxottica presented its first collection of prescription glasses at the international optics fair in Milan.
Luxottica acquired the Sferoflex brand in 1981, known for its flexible joints. In 1990, Luxottica added Vogue to its portfolio, followed by Persol in 1995. Between 1996 and 1999, Bvlgari, Salvatore Ferragamo, and Chanel joined the Luxottica family. A significant milestone occurred in 1999 when Luxottica strengthened its global position by acquiring the Ray-Ban brand, followed by Arnette.
Luxottica became the world leader in sunglasses sales by 2000-2001 and signed licensing agreements with Prada and Versace in 2003. In 2007, Oakley joined Luxottica's offerings.
VOGUE

Luxottica Eyewear
Every pair of Luxottica glasses results from a rigorous and complex process. Traditional materials used in eyewear manufacturing can be divided into three groups: metal, acetate, and injected plastic. Additionally, there are "special" materials, such as titanium, nitinol, and carbon fibers, as well as precious metals like silver and gold.
For lenses, Luxottica offers four types of materials: crystal glass and three synthetic materials - polyamide, polycarbonate, and CR39.
RAY-BAN
Ray-Ban, translated as "Banish Rays," is an American brand of sunglasses and prescription glasses founded in 1937. Ray-Ban glasses are known for their quality, functionality, iconic status, history, and heritage.
Lens characteristics: superior protection, image clarity, and comfort.
Polarization
When natural light reflects off flat, smooth surfaces (water, snow, ice, asphalt, sand), it creates reflections and glare known as polarized light, causing eye strain and blurred vision. Standard lenses cannot filter out this glare. Polarization is a treatment designed to eliminate glare by using a chemical filter on polarized lenses to absorb horizontal light rays while allowing beneficial rays through.
Advantages of polarized lenses:
Polarized lenses are especially recommended for water sports, fishing, skiing, cycling, and driving. Research shows that sensitivity to glare doubles every ten years, with the average 40-year-old being four times more sensitive to glare than the average 20-year-old.
