Belgrade is among the first cities in the world that had a cinema, right after Paris, London, Brussels, Madrid, Vienna and Berlin. After Belgrade, the film came to Bombay, Moscow, New York... the first movie showing in Belgrade was held on the 6th of June 1896 in the "Zlatni krst" (Golden cross) restaurant in Terazije, only 6 months after the cinematographer premiered in Paris.
