"Prinz Eugen Stadt" was the name of Belgrade during the Nazi occupation and that was the last time in history that Belgrade changed its name for its invaders. 

The name Belgrade (Belograd) that's in use today is mentioned for the first time in 878, in the letter of pope Jovan VIII to the emperor Boris Bugarski.
