This building was built in 1868. and designed by Jovan Frencla. Varoška was the first hospital of Belgrade, build at the initiative of Prince Mihailo Obrenovic , with funds provided by contributions from all layers of Serbian society. Many working parties and prominent physicians worked here and therefore it is a testimony to the memory of the important names in the development of our medical science and practice.
