Bulbulder is a settlement in Zvezdara. The name bulbulder comes from the Turkish word 'bulbul' - which means nightingale and 'dere' which means valley. The entire name translates to Nightingale's valley.

The surrounding settlements are also named after nightingales - Slavujev venac and Slavujev stream. A long time ago Slavuj's stream used to course down the streets Dimitrija Tucovica and Cvijiceva, but with urbanization it was redirected to the underground storm drain.
