PAST:
The Ristić family has been working with metal since before World War II, and in 1954, Đorđe Ristić opened a shop in Bežanijska Street, once the most famous artisan street in Zemun. His son Nikola opened a shop specialized in key making on the same street in 1967. In 1981, the shop moved to 22. Oktobra No. 16, near Karađorđe's Square, right at the entrance from Belgrade to Zemun.
Today, the shop is run by Pavle Ristić and employs three skilled workers.
PRESENT
The duplication of car keys is a thing of the past. High precision in key cutting no longer needs to be controlled by a human. Today, this is done by computer-guided machines.
Keys are ordered from us by the number on the card that comes with a new vehicle or by the chassis number. A key by number, of any type, is made immediately. It’s important to know that a key made by code is a completely new key, while a copied, worn-out key is as bad as the one it was made from. Only a key made to factory specifications is a good key.
If you have a problem with your car key, car lock, lost your last key, or locked your keys in the car, ask your local car dealer for help. We are confident they will recommend us. We currently provide services to all authorized car dealers in our city, and in collaboration with them, we can securely provide you with a key (or card) for almost any vehicle currently in production.
FUTURE
Today, we code most keys and original remote controls ourselves, but we will find a solution even for the minority of cases. The old master used to say that no locksmith knows everything and has everything customers might want. Our customers say that if it’s not with us, they won’t bother looking further.
