The Special Hospital for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Komnenus, which started operating in 2004, merged with Alfa Medic General Hospital eight years later and has been operating under its new name since 2012. Atlas General Hospital was formed in March 2016, specifically from Alfa Medic Special Hospital. The idea behind the creation of Atlas General Hospital was to be innovative, modern, equipped according to world standards, and staffed with eminent specialists from their respective fields, which placed Atlas among the leaders in surgery in the country and region.
