In November 1939 the first stop light was set up in Belgrade, at the corner of Kralja Aleksandra boulevard and Takovska street, near the main post office. This was also the first stop light in Serbia and regulated the traffic between 7AM to 10PM, while only yellow light was turned on until 11PM.
